"Boy band fangirls are a species that are more focused, determined, and powerful in large numbers than just about any other group of people I can think of."
I thought this was an entertaining, funny read. It brought me back to my one direction stalking days of waiting outside their hotel for hours, just to get a glimpse of them. She was spot on with capturing the feelings of loving a boy band with all your heart. In the rush of watching them leave their hotels, I've debated on jumping the barricade and tackling them. Unfortunately, I was never lucky to get close enough. Don't underestimate a fangirls determination.
This book was a wild ride from start to finish. I think all of us fangirls dream about capturing your favorite member. These girls actually did it. It was unpredictable and insane. Don't mess with fangirls.
It follows four friends who share the same love of the boy band The Ruperts. All the characters had distinct personalities. My favorite character of the group had to be Apple. Her enthusiasm was hilarious and she was definitely the crazed one of the group. I applaud her on her success in capturing her favorite of the band.
As you go on, the plot gets more insane. It's a lot of dark humor. You begin to second guess who to trust. I had a few issues with the ending, and how twisted it got. It was unpredictable and not what I expected. I think this is a book either you love or hate. Literally like a fanfic gone wild. In my opinion, it's definitely worth the read!
“Maybe it was obsession, but it was also happiness; an escape from the suckiness of everyday life. And when you find something that makes you happy and giddy and excited every day, us fangirls know a truth that everyone else seems to have forgotten: you hold on to that joy tenaciously, for as long as you can.”
